On 23 March 2017 the EU-LAC-MUSEUMS Steering Committee had a very productive meeting in Nicoya, San Vicente, coinciding with the launch of the new display of San Vicente Ecomuseum on 24 March. Ronald Martinez of the Museo Nacional has worked for months with this community in deleivering workshops to assist them in desiging new displays and interpretation for their collections and ecomuseum sites, especially the furnaces for firing the traditional Chorotego pottery. This ecomuseum is also one of three in Costa Rica which is participating in our exciting EU-LAC Youth exchange, involving monthly workshops for youth empowerment and reconnection with traditional heritage, and a travel exchange.
