Reflections on the museal experimental movements which began in the 1960s and 1970s, and have led to theaffirmation of “new museology” and “ecomuseums”.The authors anticipates what may be the evolution of this movement in the short and mid-term, based on case studies and a detailed analysis of the risks, trends and challenges that ecomuseums face in their Heritage management mission at the service of society.
