The project survey on “What is a community museum in your region?”, launched in Antigua, Guatemala by ICOM President in March 2018 (attaining 369 responses from 201 countries, including 70.15% participants from areas outside EU-LAC, thus showing the relevance of community museums in other parts of the world).

Participation by completing the survey is completely voluntary but implies participant consent to the project’s use of demographic data and quotations. When possible answers are provided to the closed-ended questions, they have been listed in alphabetical order. PThis study is being conducted by the University of St Andrews, with scientific direction provided by the EU-LAC-MUSEUMS project Steering Committee. The survey and data will be maintained by The Museums, Galleries and Collections Institute (MGCI), University of St Andrews.
